Àger hosts the 1st Livestock Fair: shepherding, local products and traditions

On Saturday 25 October 2025, the town of Àger will host the first edition of its Livestock Fair, an event that highlights the craft of shepherding, traditional livestock farming and local products from the region.

Organised by the Àger Town Council, with the collaboration of the Pau Costa Foundation, La Sabina, CTFC and other partners, the fair aims to celebrate the livestock sector as an essential part of our cultural and natural heritage.

🧀 A fair for everyone

Throughout the day, visitors will enjoy traditional craft demonstrations, workshops and activities for all ages (children and adults), talks and local artisan and agri-food stalls.

The programme also includes educational activities on sustainable land management, the role of shepherds and coexistence with the natural environment.

The Àger Livestock Fair is part of the PREPAST – Pre-Pyrenees Pastures project, supported by the Fundación Biodiversidad and funded by the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (NextGenerationEU).
