The “Parc Astronòmic del Montsec” (PAM), located here in Àger, has opened its 16th season on February 7, 2025, offering a series of novelties and activities for all audiences.
- Highlighted Astronomical Events:
This year is expected an intense solar activity, which will allow visitors to observe phenomena such as sunspots and enjoy a more dynamic experience of the Sun during daytime visits. In addition to this solar presence, on March 29, it will be possible to see a partial Solar eclipse with a coverage of 25-30%, altering the luminosity and generating weaker shadows.
- Technology Innovations & Programmatic:
On March, the 3D film “Hazelnuts – In Search of the Perfect Planet” will be released, a 3D space adventure ideal for the whole family, where two squirrels explore space in search of “superhazelnuts” and discover the relevance of planet Earth. Moreover, all general daytime visits will be in 3D and will be extended to two hours of duration.
About night visits, the offer of nightly sessions in 3D will be doubled compared to the previous season.
And if you visit the PAM website to book tickets, now shows ticket availability in real time, classifying them by demand (high, medium and low), and has incorporated the Infoparc, which provides live information about meteorology and experiences.

This 2025, the centenary of the birth of Maria Assumpció Català will be commemorated, the first professional astronomer in Spain, with a series of events, including the central event of the centenary in Àger and the Astronomy Festival of the PAM, dedicated to this anniversary.
